The Wide Net Project exists because of the community of supporters who have nurtured and propelled the organization forward.

Spreading the word comes easily when the fish tastes this good.

Spreading the word comes easily when the fish tastes this good.

Here is how you, too, can advance conservation and hunger relief through WNP:

  1. Spread the word. Your favorite restaurants, grocery store, your work or university cafeteria — all of these places can potentially buy blue catfish through WNP’s partnerships and help progress both hunger relief and conservation. Help us ensure that everyone with purchasing power knows about these issues and that they can take part in addressing them.

  2. While proceeds from the sale of fish help make the magic at WNP happen, we’d be remiss not to mention that donations are critical to our operation, enabling the WNP team to tackle the issues efficiently and effectively.

  3. Calling all chefs! The Wide Net Project is receiving more and more requests to conduct fish demos at grocers, farmers markets, and large events. If you enjoy talking to people, know your way around a saute pan, and live in the D.C. metro area, do let us know.

  4. Speaking of saute pans, all of those demos and other educational opportunities require supplies. Please share our Amazon wish list. Or add something to your own cart if you’re feeling inspired!

  5. We’d be delighted for additional pro bono communications and graphic design support, and other professional expertise. If you have a skill that you think could bolster our efforts, we’d love to hear from you. Just send us a note.
